I have a fair amount of sketches of shapes and patterns of bark, after a day spent tree gazing. I can of course, draw these directly on the fabric, but if I make a mistake, I have to get it all wet to erase the marks, so I prefer to punch the pattern with my embroidery stiletto, while the Tree Quilt is on the design wall.
