Whipped back stitch and Twisted chain stitch, 7″ x 4.5″ On the outline of the leaf, I did a whipped back stitch, using all six strands on the back stitch and the whip, which came out in a fine line. With less strands used, a very fine line can be achieved. The twisted chain stitch, being a surface stitch, works quickly, and is quite fun to do. Twisted chain stitch does need a guide line. For such things, I use a Fons & Porter mechanical fabric pencil, with white, pink, and green leads. Okay…Leaf 13 seems a good one on which to declare a half day off, something I sorely need.
