Moved Micrathena cyanospina from the 14″ x 14″ Q-Snap frame to the big quilting frame. 5 or 6 skeins of thread later, I have a nicely tensioned canvas. Yay. Back to work now. I e-mailed Rick about this, so he could see what I’ve done and he said “You’re making a spider web of your own to do this. Cool.” Heh.
This looks gorgeous!
Thank you so much! I’ve really enjoyed embroidering her. I’ve been reading your book Relics and everything is so amazing and beautiful – there are easily 10 to 20 more little lifeforms I’d like to stitch.
It’s looking wonderful!
Just came across an image of Trachelophorus giraffa – might be a project if you’re interested in another weird arthropod.
Wow. Red and black with a giraffe neck. Awesome beetle. Thanks, Steve.
