Dracula Duckie Is Done

Yay!  Another duckie done.  Phew.  Now I’ll be moving on to Nerd Duckie.

  1. Dracula Duckie looks fantastic! The blood dripping off his fangs is a nice touch. :) Also, great job on the brocade on his waistcoat. Well-dressed as a vampire duck ought to be.

  2. Oh thank you! It was one of those I thought would *never* end. I don’t think I’ll be doing the ‘brocade look’ for a while, that made my fingers hurt. :D

  3. I’m sure it did, because the end result is wonderfully lush.Hopefully Nerd Duckie will be easier on your fingertips!

  4. I’m awestruck. That waistcoat is fantastic. I don’t do any needlework myself, but I can imagine the abuse your poor fingers have withstood. The level of detail and patterns amaze me. My sisters-in-law really need to see this quilt. (They both do needlework and crafting. Sometimes I think they, like you, can probably tackle any project. Me, I have trouble sewing on a button: my mother’s attempts to teach me basically failed. :D)

  5. Oh, thank you so much. I’m utterly useless when it comes to using a sewing machine, that’s always pure disaster. I can’t knit, either, so this is it. Have your sisters-in-law seen Urban Threads? (http://www.urbanthreads.com/) If they like needlework, they’ll probably love everything at that site.
